Welcome message from the APSSLH President

I am pleased to announce that APSSLH, in partnership with HCMC University/MCNV and Hue University/KOICA, will host the 2023 Asia Pacific Society of Speech, Language, and Hearing conference in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from December 14 to 16th, 2023. I welcome all conference participants, supporters, and volunteers.

The APSSLH is a professional organization that is dedicated to supporting researchers, practitioners, and students in Communication Sciences and Disorders and other related fields in the Asia Pacific region. The theme of the 2023 APSSLH Conference is “Connect: Build a Stronger Network Among Us”. The profession of Communication Sciences and Disorders has been growing in Vietnam as well as in other Southeast Asia countries. Through our conference, I hope we will build a more robust network to empower our colleagues to fulfill their job successfully and support individuals who need speech, language, and hearing services in the Asia Pacific region.

Our 2023 conference will be an exciting event because this is the first APSSLH conference to be held in the Southeast Asia region since the APSSLH was established. Please do not miss the opportunity to participate in this remarkable and historical event. I look forward to meeting you all in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Message from Co-Chair  of the APSSLH Conference

It is my greatest honor to serve as the conference chair for the 2023 Asia Pacific Society of Speech, Language, and Hearing (APSSLH) Conference.

Since 1980, the APSSLH conference has been held biannually in various Asia Pacific countries where communication sciences and disorders have developed. It is exciting to announce that the APSSLH conference will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with two keynote speakers and several invited speakers from the world. The Keynote speakers, Dr. Shelley Velleman, and Dr. Giang Pham’s research will advance our current knowledge of speech-language therapy and the invited speakers’ educational workshops will enhance our knowledge and skills in speech-language therapy. I strongly believe that the APSSLH conference will facilitate speech-language therapy education and the profession in Vietnam and will inspire other adjacent countries where speech-language therapy is undeveloped. Please accept my warmest welcome and wish all participants a pleasurable experience in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.

Message from Co-Chair  of the APSSLH Conference

On behalf of Vietnam Audiology Association, I am so honored to serve as a co-conference chair for the Asia Pacific Society of Speech, Language, and Hearing (APSSLH) Conference. We are so proud of having the 2023 APSSLH Conference held the first time in Vietnam.

The 2023 APSSLH Conference is a great opportunity for participants all over the world, especially Vietnamese to attend. Because participants will get so much benefits about the helpful information from over 70 international presentations and 5 workshops relating in Cleft Palate, Hearing loss, Speech disorders, Autism, Aphasia, Audiology,… And this is also the fantastic place where we can exchange and meet each other following the slogan: “Connect: Build a Stronger network Among Us”.
